Kakheti wine tour Full Description:

Kakheti group tour will begin at 9:30 AM from the Metekhi Church in old Tbilisi, where your guide will meet you near the gate of Metekhi and lead you to your pickup location. On a long road from Tbilisi to Kakheti, it will be necessary to make a short stop for relaxation only just 20 minutes. The best option for this is to stop in the village  Badiauri, to taste hot Georgian bread baked in tone and cheese – as we call it  “Kakhetian fast-food”.

After this delicious break, we will go to the city of love – Sighnaghi. Sighnaghi as a settlement was first mentioned in sources in the first half of the 18th century. The city is located on a high hill overlooking the expanses of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Ranges. The city is surrounded by a 4 km fence which gives ancient charm to the city. In addition to the walking tour, you will have free time to take memorable pictures. After the walking tour in Sighnaghi, there is the first wine factory that you will visit in Numisi.

The Numisi Museum is full of unique historical artifacts, which have been collected by the museum owner over the years. Before degustation of two sorts of wine and “Chacha”, made by Georgian traditional method, you will have a small excursion in a museum.  Lunchtime in Kvareli near the beautiful lake. There is a different view from both sides of the restaurant – on the lake and Alazani valley.

There is also two big wine factory that should visit after lunch “Khareba” and “Corporation Kinzdzmarauli“.  In these two big wine factories, you will have degustation in sum 6 sorts of wine, also short excursion inside the factory and ethnographic corners by local guides. This is the last stop of the tour, after which you will be transported safely back to Tbilisi.

Meeting point: Your guide will meet you near the central gate of the Metekhi Church (near the statue of King Vakhtang Gosgasali on a horse). From the meeting point, your guide will lead you to your transport.
